Chase is a native of Altheimer, Arkansas where he was raised on his family's farm. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and began his career in agriculture during college, continuing for 36 years as a third-generation farmer/landowner. Chase has extensive experience in property acquisition and improvement of both agricultural and hunting properties. While residing in Jefferson County, he served on the Grand Prairie Water Board for 25 years and currently serves on the Plum Bayou Levee District. Now living in Little Rock, Chase volunteers at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. He is married to Alice, and they have two grown daughters, Eliza and Sarah Chase.
